Favignana

 

Favignana is located about 7 km from the western coast of Sicily, between Trapani and Marsala.
The traditional Mediterranean architecture of the island, characterized by white plaster and blue or green windows, are, especially in recent years, the object of rediscovery and enhancement, the landscape is in fact protected by the superintendence of cultural heritage. The most important traces of its seafaring past are evidenced by the buildings of the ancient Florio tonnare.
