We will come to pick you up directly at the hotel or at the facility where you stay and together we will go to visit Savoca, one of the most picturesque medieval villages in Sicily. This small and enchanting country has been chosen as a set of several films but the most famous of all is Francis Ford Coppola's "The Godfather". We will start right from the Bar Vitelli, one of the most famous places in Savoca. We will then continue with a walk through the alleys of the town passing next to the ruins of an ancient synagogue, a fine mullioned window in pure fifteenth-century style and we will reach the historic center of the country which has Roman origins. We will also visit the Church of San Nicolò where some well-known scenes of the famous film were filmed.
At the end of the visit to Savoca we will go to Forza D’Agrò. The route offers a breathtaking panorama where you can admire the evident traces of an intense and previous agricultural activity of which the Valle d'Agrò was the protagonist thanks to the terraces. Once in the town, we will visit the splendid Cathedral of Maria SS. Annunziata e Assunta which dates back to the 15th century.
The excursion will end with a visit to the beautiful Taormina. We will walk along Corso Umberto, delimited downstream by Porta Messina and upstream from Porta Catania, and we will admire the most important monuments of this magnificent village: Palazzo Corvaja, Greek-Roman Theater, Piazza IX Aprile, the Clock Tower, the Cathedral (Cathedral Fortress), the Badia Vecchia, the Palazzo Duca di Santo Stefano and much more. During the visit of Taormina it will be possible to go shopping in the exclusive shops that alternate with characteristic artisan shops.
