Taormina is one of the most beautiful and renowned Italian tourist destinations. Taormina offers the most beautiful view of the volcano and of all eastern Sicily. The city is known for the Ancient Theater of Taormina, an ancient Greco-Roman theater of extraordinary beauty. Near the theater, the cliffs descend to the sea, forming coves with beautiful beaches. Of particular beauty is the strip of sand that connects the Isola Bella Nature Reserve.
