Excursion to Vulcano, Panarea and Stromboli from Milazzo.
Depart from the port of Milazzo at 12 pm for the island of Vulcano, a land of primordial strength and beauty. Stroll along Vulcanello, a small promontory connected to the island of Vulcano by an isthmus formed in the 16th century following a volcanic eruption. This strip of land offers a marvellous vantage point over the entire Aeolian archipelago, but its real peculiarity lies in the ‘Valley of the Monsters‘, characterised by the presence of lava rocks that, depending on the point of observation and the shadows cast on the ground, form monstrous figures. If you love trekking, don’t miss the climb to the crater of Vulcano*. Once at the top, you will enjoy a marvellous panorama and can even catch a glimpse of the island of Lipari.
The second destination is the picturesque island of Panarea, a magical island that holds archaeological and natural treasures. While sailing, you can admire the islets surrounding the island (Basiluzzo, Spinazzola, Lisca Bianca, Dattilo, Bottaro, Lisca Nera) and the Panarelli and Formiche rocks.
To conclude your minicruise to the islands of Vulcano, Panarea and Stromboli, sail towards the island of Stromboli, the island of fire. While sailing, you can admire the picturesque village of Ginostra, isolated from the rest of the island and accessible only by sea, and the imposing Strombolicchio, a volcanic rock islet on which a lighthouse was installed for navigation. Arriving at the port of Stromboli, you can disembark for an independent tour of the island. Reach the beaches with their characteristic black sand and relax by sunbathing and taking a refreshing swim.
Stromboli is known all over the world for its constant volcanic activity that gives spectacular explosive eruptions. The most fascinating moment of the tour is reserved for the Sciara del Fuoco. At sunset, the boat will pass in front of this slope in order to witness from the sea the impressive spectacle of the explosive eruptions that this perpetually active volcano gives us. Its incandescent lava will pour into the sea, creating a surreal and spectacular scenario.
